Privacy policy

BakeVideos stores the text you type, the videos it makes for you, and the files you upload, for as long as needed to show them to you in the studio and to run the service. It does not sell data and does not show ads. Last updated 4 October 2026.

What we collect

Instagram publishing

If you connect an Instagram account in the Publish tab, Instagram gives us an access token, your Instagram user id, username and account type. We store the token encrypted and use it only to publish the Reels you queue, with the caption you approved, and to renew the token. We never read your messages, followers or other posts, and we never post anything you did not queue. Reels posted this way carry Instagram's "AI info" label unless you switch that off. Press Disconnect in the studio, or remove BakeVideos under Instagram's Apps and websites settings, and the token, queue and posting history are deleted at once. See the data deletion page.

Who processes it

Making a video sends your brief to an AI text model to write the script, and sends search terms to stock-footage libraries (Pexels, Pixabay) to find clips. Voices are generated on our own servers. Renders may be stored on a cloud object store. Each of these providers has its own privacy terms; we send them only what the step needs.

How long we keep it

Videos and their working files are kept for as long as your plan is active. After you cancel, they are deleted 7 days later (or when the paid period ends, if that is later); an account with no plan keeps its videos for 7 days. You can delete any video sooner from the studio. Logs are kept for a short period for security.

Your rights

You can delete any video from the studio. To have everything tied to your workspace or email removed, write to privacy@bakevideos.com from the address you used, or with the video link, and we will confirm when it is done. If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to access and portability of your data, and to complain to your data protection authority.

Analytics and session replay

We use PostHog to understand how the site and the studio are used: pages viewed, buttons clicked, videos requested and finished, downloads, and session replays of what happened on screen. Replays mask everything typed into form fields. Analytics runs only on bakevideos.com, not on local or preview copies. Signed-in users are identified by their account ID and email so we can follow up on problems; anonymous visitors are not profiled. PostHog stores this data in the US. You can block it with any content blocker; the site works the same without it.

Cookies

The workspace cookie is strictly necessary. PostHog sets its own cookie to recognise a returning browser. We do not use advertising cookies.

Changes

We will update this page when the service changes and note the date at the top.
