AI story video generator: from one sentence to a narrated animated story
An AI story video generator turns written words into a finished story video: it writes or reads the story, records a voice, makes the visuals for every scene, adds captions and music, and renders an MP4. On BakeVideos you type one sentence or paste your own story, and anything a camera cannot film (a shy dragon, a talking fox, a lighthouse that should not exist) becomes an animated AI video, with the same characters in every scene. It takes a few minutes; shorts run up to 1 minute on the free video and up to 2 minutes on a paid plan, and long videos up to 5 minutes.
What to type
One sentence. Say how long, who the story is about, what happens and how it ends, and a picture style if you have one in mind. BakeVideos writes the narration from that, hook first, one beat per scene. It follows what you give it, so the more plot you put in (a name, a problem, a turn, an ending), the more the video tells your story rather than a generic one.
Your own story. Paste it and it is spoken as written: nothing is rewritten or shortened. The planner splits it into scenes and plans a picture for each. If it runs past the length you chose, the studio says so while you type.
Briefs to try (each link opens the studio with the sentence in the box):
- A 40-second bedtime story about a shy dragon who is afraid of the dark, in watercolour storybook style. Gentle voice, warm ending.
- A 50-second dark fantasy story: a lighthouse keeper sees a second lighthouse on the horizon that was not there yesterday. Slow build, end on a chill.
- A 45-second 3D cartoon story about Pip, a talking fox who opens a bakery for the forest animals and burns the very first cake. Funny, happy ending.
- A 1-minute anime story: a girl named Aiko finds a train ticket to a city that only exists at night. Fast cuts, end on a twist.
- The story of David and Goliath for kids in 50 seconds, 2D cartoon style, simple words, end with the lesson.
How the kind of video is picked
BakeVideos makes three kinds of video and picks one from what you type. The pick shows under the box ("Auto · Animated"), and one tap switches it.
| Kind | Picked when the idea is | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Real footage | facts, tips, explainers, history, finance | a voice over real licensed stock clips, matched scene by scene |
| Animated story | anything a camera cannot film: dragons, superheroes, talking animals, fairy tales, kids' stories, horror, sci-fi, myths, Bible scenes, history before cameras | an animated AI video in one of 8 styles, with one consistent cast |
| Text story | a pasted chat, or an idea told through texts | a phone chat read aloud by two voices (how text stories work) |
A reference photo of a person, pet, toy or drawn character also switches Auto to an animated story (turn a photo into a story video).
Picture styles
Every scene in a video is painted in one look: Cinematic, Photo-real, 3D cartoon, 2D cartoon, Anime, Watercolour storybook, Comic book or Dark fantasy. Name the style in your sentence ("in anime style") and that style is used. If you name none, the story picks one: horror leans to Cinematic or Dark fantasy, kids' stories and comedy to 3D cartoon or Anime, gentle stories to Watercolour storybook. On a paid plan you can switch the style later; every picture is painted again and keeps what it shows.
The same characters in every scene
AI images usually change a character's face and clothes from picture to picture. BakeVideos paints a cast sheet first (everyone in the story, side by side) and paints every scene they appear in from it, so the fox in scene one is the fox in scene seven, and clothes change only when the story changes them. More in consistent characters in AI video.
How the scenes move
Every scene is AI-animated in the style you picked, with the same cast from the first scene to the last. A few things shape it:
- Weather: rain, snow or fog over outdoor scenes, and only outdoors: no rain falls inside a bus.
- Two shots for a long line: a wide shot and a closer one of the same moment.
- Fast cuts: write "fast cuts" in the brief and you get shorter scenes and more of them.
Lengths and formats
| Free video | Paid plans | |
|---|---|---|
| Short | up to 1 minute | up to 2 minutes |
| Long video | not included | over a minute, up to 5 minutes |
| Format | 1080×1920, 1080×1080 or 1920×1080 MP4 | same |
Narration is available in English, Hindi, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), French, Italian, Japanese and Chinese, with voices for each.
Editing after the bake
On a paid plan you can rewrite a line (only that scene is re-recorded), add scenes, and repaint any one picture in your own words: open the scene, describe what it should show ("the dragon curled around a lantern, smiling") and paint it again. Each video has a set number of picture changes. Every render is kept as a version. On the free video you can swap a picture for a stock clip, upload your own, and change music, captions, colours and voice.
What it cannot do yet
- Avatars, talking presenters or voice cloning.
- Celebrities, brands or copyrighted characters: describe an original look instead.
- Sound effects on request: not reliable yet.
- Videos over 5 minutes, or auto-posting: you download the MP4 and upload it yourself.
- Every language: Arabic, Turkish, Russian and others are not voiced yet; "Make it in English" tells the same idea in English.
Before you post
Nothing needs attribution: the narration, music and AI pictures can be posted on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram, including monetised channels. YouTube's altered or synthetic content rule asks for a label on realistic content, so a clearly animated story generally does not need it, while a Photo-real scene that could pass for real footage may. TikTok asks for a label on content completely generated by AI that shows realistic scenes or people (TikTok Newsroom). The studio shows a "Before you post" note on every video with AI pictures. Monetisation is the platform's call.
Your first video is free (Google sign-in, no card). The Creator plan is $24 a month for 30 shorts and 3 long videos, and there is no watermark on paid plans. Write your first story.
FAQ
Can AI make an animated story video from text? Yes. Type one sentence or paste a story, and BakeVideos writes or keeps the narration, creates an AI-animated scene for each beat in one style, records a voice, adds captions and music, and renders an MP4 in a few minutes.
Is there a free AI story video generator? On BakeVideos your first video is free after Google sign-in, with no card: a short of up to 1 minute in 1080p, kept for 7 days. It carries a small bakevideos.com credit line under the captions; paid plans come out clean.
Are AI story videos animated? Yes. A BakeVideos story is an animated AI video: every scene moves, in one of 8 styles (Cinematic, Photo-real, 3D cartoon, 2D cartoon, Anime, Watercolour storybook, Comic book or Dark fantasy), with the same characters throughout and rain, snow or fog over outdoor scenes.
Can I use my own story as the script? Yes. Paste it and every word is spoken as written. The planner only splits it into scenes and plans the pictures.
Can I monetize AI story videos on YouTube? They can be monetised if the channel meets YouTube's thresholds and the videos are original rather than mass-produced. Nothing in a BakeVideos render needs a credit, but only YouTube decides on monetisation.
