Faceless Instagram Reels maker: AI reels with real footage and captions
BakeVideos makes faceless Instagram Reels from one sentence: an AI script with the hook first, a natural neural voice, real licensed stock footage, word-synced captions and no-attribution music, rendered as a 1080×1920 MP4. About 1–2 minutes per Reel, with a free video to try and no watermark. You download the file and post it from the Instagram app.
What Instagram wants from a faceless Reel
- Vertical, 9:16, 1080×1920. BakeVideos renders this by default. Instagram also shows Reels cropped to 4:5 in the main feed grid, so keep the important part of the frame in the centre.
- Keep captions out of the UI. Instagram draws your caption text, the audio name and the account name over the bottom of the frame, and the like, comment, share and save buttons down the right edge. Keep your own text out of roughly the bottom 20% and the right edge. BakeVideos places captions in the middle band, which also survives the 4:5 crop.
- Length. As of Sept 2026 Reels can run up to 3 minutes (Instagram raised the limit from 90 seconds in early 2025). BakeVideos makes 15–60 second videos; 20–35 seconds is where faceless Reels get saved and shared.
- The first line is the thumbnail. Reels are judged on the first second in the feed and on the cover frame in the grid. The generator puts the sharpest line of your brief first; change it in the editor if it is soft.
- One a day beats a burst. Reels reach is per video, and Instagram's own creator guidance favours steady posting.
Why the footage and captions matter on Instagram
Reels are judged on the picture before the sound. Footage that matches the meaning of each line, a quiet kitchen for a line about budgeting, a lake at dawn for a verse about rest, earns a save; footage that matches only the nouns looks like an advert. BakeVideos picks each clip from the meaning of the scene; swap any clip or upload your own.
Many Reels are watched muted, and Instagram's auto-captions sit low in the frame under the UI. Word-by-word captions in the middle of the frame hold muted viewers and set the pace; the headline style suits a single line over a cinematic clip, a common Reels look.
Three briefs to try
Each link opens the studio with the brief already filled in.
- A 25-second Reel on the Zeigarnik effect: why unfinished tasks stick in your head, and one way to use it to your advantage. Calm, curious tone.
- A 25-second stoic Reel: Marcus Aurelius on focusing only on what is in our control, applied to a bad day at work.
- A 25-second faith Reel on Psalm 23: read one verse, then a calm two-sentence reflection on rest. Gentle tone, no preaching.
How it works
- Type one sentence. Topic, angle, tone, ending. Or paste your own script.
- BakeVideos bakes the Reel. Script with the hook first and one idea per scene, a neural voice, real footage from Pexels and Pixabay, word-synced captions and music. About 1–2 minutes.
- Fix, download, post. Edit any line and only that scene is re-voiced. Swap footage, change the voice or caption style. Download the MP4 and post it as a Reel in the Instagram app. Auto-posting is not live. Nothing in a render needs attribution: footage is licensed from Pexels and Pixabay with a licence record saved per render, and the music is from a no-attribution library.
Requirements
Per Instagram's published rules as of Sept 2026, there is no fixed public follower or view threshold for earning from Reels. Instagram's bonus programmes are invite-based and change by region, and most faceless Reels accounts earn through affiliate links, brand deals, selling their own product, or Instagram's subscriptions and gifts, which have their own eligibility rules in the app. Instagram asks creators to label content made or significantly altered with AI where it applies. We cannot promise monetisation; read the current rules in the app's professional dashboard.
FAQ
Can I make faceless Reels for free?
You can generate a video free, then plans from $24 a month (Creator: 40 shorts and 4 long videos at the pre-launch price). No watermark on any plan, and only new videos count: edits and re-renders are free.
Does BakeVideos post to Instagram for me?
Not yet. You download the MP4 and post it as a Reel in the Instagram app. Auto-posting and scheduling are not live.
Can a business account use the music?
Yes. The music comes from a no-attribution library licensed for social and online video, so it does not depend on Instagram's commercial sound rules. Check the sound name Instagram shows on the Reel; it will be "original audio".
Can I use my own script or footage?
Yes. Paste a script and BakeVideos keeps every line. Upload your own clips or photos for any scene in the editor. Voices are several English neural voices; voice cloning is not available.
